I'm about to break in my foam gun (its the cg quart foamgun)

But I'm kind of lost as to what dilution ratio to use?

kind of preference. i usually use 2oz of soap and the next to last setting on the gun. tip: fill the cup up with water first, then add the soap. shake well.

2 oz. of soap for every 8oz. of water for maximum suds/foam.....but you could get buy with less than that depending on preference.

Here's what I posted in another thread asking about soap dilution in a foam gun:

I always mix it so that, on the middle setting (on my gun that's 4 oz per gallon, or 1:32), the dilution hitting the panel matches the manufacturer's recommended soap dilution. For example, if I'm using a soap that recommends 1 oz for every two gallons (1:256), I'd have it mixed at 1 part soap to 7 parts water in the container. The foam gun will then further dilute that 12.5% soap mix to 4 oz per gallon, which gives me the manufacturer recommended 0.5 oz per gallon on the panel (1/8 x 1/32 = 1/256). I then adjust the foam gun if I want more or less suds (up to 6 oz per gallon, or down to 2 oz per gallon).

Just for everyone's reference, I've come up with a quick chart showing the dilution in the canister, depending on the foam gun setting you want to use and your soap's recommended dilution ratio. So for my example in my previous post (soap's recommended dilution is 1oz to 2 gallons, and using the middle setting "3" on the foam gun), I'd dilute 1 part soap to 7 parts water, for a 12.5% mix in the foam gun canister. You might find that you need to up the soap concentration for better foaming, which is why I usually use the middle setting.

Problem is I don't have these settings, but I did take a video I'll post today, better results used 4-5 caps of soap in a quart container but it doesn't have much dwell time

The CG is similar to the Griots. I have used Optimum with a ratio of almost 8:1 to 10:1 and still get plenty of foam. I started with 4:1 and went through some soap...Doing some precise measurements is on my list of things to do.

I just got a "foamer" to use with my pressure washer. It's not one that makes super thick foam, it's a Karcher foamer, and I got it because its meant for the pressure washer(no adapter /no leaks / no headaches). I used
CG Honey Dew Foam Shampoo 3 to 1; but it seemed like too much. Also, I realized this shampoo (and the Citrus and Gloss) is very concentrated afterwards. You probably could get away with only 2 capfuls. Since, that's enough for 10 gallons or so.

I have the MTM gun and the instructions says to use 3-4oz of soap then fill with water.

I have posted this earlier.

Griots, Optimum Soap. The foam gun should look familiar.

It was about 6:1 or so (1oz soap to 6 oz water) but up to 8 or 10:1 now and suds did not drop off that much.
