Ford F-150 Paint Correction

This truck was close to getting a new paint job, before I told the owner that he should let me try a test spot. After the test spot we worked on getting the truck scheduled to get it looking better. The results pretty much speak for themselves.
The truck got a full wash/degrease. Then each panel was clay barred. After the clay was done the truck was dried and then taped off where it was necessary.

Was a two step polish followed by an all in one. Two step process was Meg Ult Compound using Purple Wool and Flex Rotary. The second step was White Flat pad using M205 and the Flex Rotary. The last step was to use Griots One Step Sealant. This step not only provides protection but ensures that there are no holograms left behind.

There were also some deep scratches the owner asked me to wet-sand out to improve the appearance. The scratches were wet-sanded using 1500 grit, followed by sanding with 2500 grit.

Here are some before pictures to show how dull the paint was looking:

Overall, A LOT of gloss was restored into this 10+ year old truck. The owner was very pleased with the results. Thanks for viewing.

Fantastic job, im in the procces of preparation for a similar job but with and even bigger truck and im new to this, as Mobile detail stated how much time/hours did this take im impressed with what you did. Any tips, btw you could have also polished the lights to make them new again. Somewhere I read its easy. I think the steps are sand it then polsih it with a compound and then normal polish not sure you also use a sealant:confused: anyways superb job. Cant wait till I start my project.:dblthumb2:

Thanks for all the kind words.

Think it was around 4-5 hours. Rotary really speeds things up.

The headlights may have come out a little better if I tried to restore them. He wasn't asking for it to be done nor paying for it to be done though. Also, IME those headlights don't always turn around that great because of the texture they have to them.
