I am assuming you mean CG V series?
I have the whole line up and think its crap compared to M105/M205. I would stick with the Meg line up and the P085. You might wanna think about the Megs MF line up and go that way. Its a lot easier to work with than the M105 (until you learn how to use M105 the correct way).If you go with the Megs MF line, get the whole system, D300/301 and the pads/bp. A lot of people have been having as good as results with it as the m105/m205.

As far as pads go, depending if you go the MF way or not, I would personally rec the LC Hydro pads. The cut and finish well, and there aren't an overwheliming amount to chose from. I would get the Blue Orange and Red. (I know those aren't the right color names but you get the point). Also, they have them on BOGO right now so thats a score!

Another thing to take into consideration is, is this stuff for just your vehicle or are you starting up a business? I've read a bunch of your posts and thought you were thinking of starting up a company? If thats the case, sadly your going to have to prob get the M105.205 to have on hand. Maybe just get the 8oz and try it out. I use it with the hydro pads and have good results. Granted that is with a rotary, but the GG is a great machine with decent power from what I've read.

Nice info. I was also thinking about the V series but it really has not caught my attention. I will continue to play with the M105 till i get the hang of it.

I've been having trouble finding the d300/d301? i usually see it paried with the finishing wax? do you have a link to their setup? and if I go with the MF system would I need additional pads for that? And yeah I saw they're on the bogo and 5.5 so I'm definitely interested in that, idk I was set with just 105 205 po85 and uber pads but now when its time to order i'm having second thoughts and have sort of become overwhelmed with the options for this.

Yeah I definitely am starting a side business, but atm i'm not advertising paint correction because well, I'm not good at it yet lol, its all production based wash clay aio by hand (will move to machine possibly, going to try both out and see what is getting the better results) and interior

i read that v34 was rated at m105 and v38 finishes like po85, and v36 is similar to 205

After more research it seems that v34 actually lacks in cut compared to m105, not that its not a great polish, just not as "powerful" so I guess m105 m205 po85 and uber flat pads it is (or maybe hydro techs)

SON1C,
Heres the link for the Megs MF kit
Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System, paint polishing system, car polish, car detailing system, compounding system, remove scratches (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-da-microfiber-system.html)

The d300 is the compound/polish and the d301 is the finishing wax (cleaner wax). They are separate items.

Paint correct takes a LOT of work and time and you need to get good at it before you go advertising it. For most people, they are looking for clean shiny rides. I'm finding that most people want the swirls knocked down but understand they aren't going to get perfect.

If your getting a machine, there is no point/way your going to do AIO by hand. If you wanna do the set up that you have (wash, clay, AIO) your going to wanna do it with the GG. It will take way too long and you won't get near the results you would by machine. I would rec using Megs D151 for your AIO. Its got decent protection and it cuts down on swirls to an acceptable level for most people. I usually use the LC hydro pad Tangerine, or Megs MF finishing disk. I don't know about the uber pads so I can't tell ya.

I know it gets really overwhelming when deciding what pads/products to get. I've been through a bunch and tried too many, but I finally found what works for me and I stick to it. For the most part, your going to be doing either AIO or 1 step (polish) then wax. What are you thinking in terms of wax? I usually will do D151 and top that with Optimum Spray wax. Quick, good protection, and it saves a ton of time. I would rec getting the Hydro seris and trying those. The only prob I've had with them is they don't last as long as other pads but they cut and finish really well. Get a couple Red ones if your going to be using a liquid LSP.

As far as the v34/v seris, theres a reason there isn't much talk about it on the threads. Look how many people rave about Blacklight and CG car soaps. No one raves about the V seris and there is a reason. If your on the fence about it still, I'd be happy to send you some for you to try out.

M105 took me almost 3 months before I got the hang of it. While I was learning, I hated it and was about ready to throw it away. Richy told me flat out I was using it wrong and told me how to use it. He has a great video on how to use it correctly. Now I can correct in little time and the paint is almost LSP ready. Remember, less is good but you need to use enough to have something to cut with. I get really good results and it doesn't turn to cement when I use it inside a garage and with a wool pad or yellow Buff and Shine.

I live in Redondo Beach. Where you at in LA? Its perfect detailing weather today! I love itIm the MAN

I used the M105 and I had a very hard time with it drying to fast and leaving lots of haze. I used it on the 7424xp on a surbuf pad and cg hex logic pad.

Your down the street then. I live in Gardena close to the Hustler Casino. I'm always in redondo was there last week. Cheesecake factory them the pier

for now its just for my vehicle and a few others (friends/family) because I'm not a ready to market paint correction, I'd like to start doing AIO's by machine, but I'm taking it step by step lol and not rushing into anything I'm trying to do it right the first time

i went with the hydro pads on bogo :)

I'm thinking 105 205 po85 will be my best bet?

for customers I've been planning on either megs d151 or cg xp deep reflections (also trying a few other cleaner waxes) to see which one is producing the best result and wax

I have a friend nearby who is going to teach me how to use m105, does it really have that steep of a learning curve?
