I have this brown stain on my trucks rug. I don't know what it is, it was there when I bought the truck used. I've tried:
- Folex
- Poor Boys APC
- Simple Green
- diluted Oxy Clean Powder
- ERA detergent
- Resolve Triple Oxy Advanced
- Turtle Wax Oxy Power Carpet Cleaner
-hot water

.... Now my carpet is very clean, except for this stain. Any suggestions? Here is a pic of the stain:

Title is hilarious. :props:

You've used some very good products. I'm thinking vinegar, but that stain may just be permanent.

Has anything made a dent in it at all? Old stains can be really tough, especially when you don't know what it is. Ive used basically undiluted oxy clean with good results, just get the stain damp and pour Oxy clean powder in it and scrub it in. Rinse and repeat then suck it out with a wet vac. I've also used a 1:1 solution of very hot water and ammonia to remove really tough stains but it can be damaging to some fibers so test first.

I've had luck with Bluemagic Spot Lifter, even removed asphalt tar stains from a cloth seat.

I've used this stuff before as well. It works but it is petroleum based so it can damage fibers/fade colors. Test an inconspicuous spot first! I believe Wally world carries it.

Yeah, some stuff made a dent in it. It's hard to say what is was, cause a lot of the products were mixed. Now I can add vinegar to the list of stuff that didn't remove it. It looks better, but I'm willing to try to remove it. As an aside, my Brinkmann just blew up and all the batteries fell out. Now it looks like this. It's a shame these things aren't sturdier, because it's a great light.

Try the ammonia solution. Must be hot! Use an iron if necessary but be careful not to melt synthetic fibers.

Give a really good rinse first before anything new.

For carpet stains, mix 1 part white distilled vinegar with 1 part water.

Almost looks like rust in the photo. If so, I'm not sure what will get it. Another option that it sounds like you haven't tried is an organic cleaner. I would try a pet urine type product and steam if you have it.

I have no clue as to whether your issue is rust or not...

The only reason I even mentioned rust is that it looks a little like it is running from the bolt area. I have seen this with seat belt bolts before but had little luck removing it.
