A while back I made an order when AG had decided to stop selling Clearkote products. Meghan slipped a bottle of Compound Moose and Red Moose Machine Glaze in my box. I was so excited when I got the surprise gifts. I’ve wanted to use them some months now but either weather or family illness or something has gotten in the way. Well this weekend was finally the time to use my new stuff including my first purchase of the legendary Souveran paste wax (http://www.autogeek.net/pisisepawax.html).

My car was dirtier than it has been in a very long time.

Wheels: Wow, they were the most dirty I have ever let them get. Bad Don, bad. I tried using the P21 Wheel cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/p2wheelclean.html) but it was not strong enough. I had enough PB Spray & Rinse to do one wheel. Man, that stuff is awesome! I used some Meg’s wheel cleaner on the rest of the wheels with a lot of scrubbing. After completing the car with the rest of the steps I used DP Gloss Tire Gel (http://www.autogeek.net/dp330.html).

Wash: Foam Gun, PB Super Slick & Suds (http://www.autogeek.net/pbss32.html), a splash of PB Bug Squash, and the Shmitt.

Exterior: Started with Mother’s Clay & Showtime detailer spray. Then got out the PC with an LC white pad and started working with the Compound Moose. It went on easy, broke down fast and I could tell a difference in the paint. The paint was cloudy and dull before applying the Compound Moose.

That did it for Saturday as I got stared late in the day. On Sunday I started with a quick wash as there was some dusting from the Compound Moose. I used an LC grey pad with the Red Moose Machine Glaze. The glaze is very thin and I figured I would not be able to tell a difference. WRONG! After buffing off the section I had done I could see a clear difference. The color had more shine to it than before.

There was a little dust from the Red Moose, very little, so I went over the car with PB Spray & Wipe (http://www.autogeek.net/pbsaw16.html). Now was the time to open the Souveran and see what all the fuss was about. The Souveran went on smooth and I mean smooth, like smaltz on a bagel. It is more butter-like than Max Wax.
The Cobra Indigo is the perfect MF for taking off the wax. It came off easily and left a depth I have not seen from Max Wax (http://www.autogeek.net/carnauba-car-wax.html) or Natty’s Blue (http://www.autogeek.net/nattys-blue.html).

Glass: I used an orange LC pad and DP Glass restorer (http://www.autogeek.net/dp515.html) followed by DP Krystal Vision (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-glass-cleaner.html).

Interior: DP Total Interior Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/dp340.html) followed by PB Natural Look Dressing (http://www.autogeek.net/pbnl16.html). The seats got a spray of Pinnacle Leather Cleaner & Conditioner (http://www.autogeek.net/pileclco.html).

The after pictures are not great as the day was overcast. A bit of sun came out as I was done. The temperature was perfect for detailing! What a great weekend I had!

That is a sweet looking Jag, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought that the Souveran is like butter...because if someone here has not used it, it really is no joke it's like putting butter on toast. That and it smells so good.

I really enjoyed your write up, the products you used sound great.

oh yea the rims look really nice.

Thanks for sharing, car looks amazing.

That car looks stunning. I am a sucker for green cars, especially if it's a jag. Great job. :righton:

Looks great. I know some people like flake pop, but personally I like dark wet look that NB and Souv have even when they mute flake. Like one of our cars is silver, and with NB it takes on a wet, darker hue, with 915 buffed with OCW it's still wet but instead of that deep/dark look it has flake pop like crazy.

SWEET.
Doesn't it seem like the bottle of DP Gloss Tire Gel could last forever.

That's it, I'm picking up some moose glaze. I LOVE the pics I've seen with it.

I found this Mazda done with both Clearkote glazes, I LOVE this pic:

^^^ wow! So it has vanilla moose and red moose? What is the LSP because someone who did that probably wouldn't have left a glaze on top!

RMG really adds a deph and shimmer even moreso to a carnauba wax. If you put RMG on your car, its a requirement to top it with souveran ! :)

Your Jag looks awesome. Thank you for taking the time to do this detailed write-up for all of us.
Looks like Souveran won you over!

I loved this line. Are you originally from Texas?

I love mixing VM/RMG 50/50 it has the cleaning of VM and the oils of RMG that give great results. It has the nickname "Pink Moose" as it turns pinkish in color and works awesome. When I do the Fusion I'm going with Pink Moose and souveran for that really wet look.

+1 on the Pink Moose. This is an awesome combo that I use quite a bit. I also like to top with the ClearKote Carnuba Wax. Leaves a super wet look!
