First of all I just want to say how helpful this forum has been. You all are a great bunch of people and I am learning TONS from the helpful tips and advice you regularly give here.

So my question is this: What products, pads, processes, etc. would you use to fix this windshield? I have a PC 7424XP and various CCS pads.

The swirls are hard to capture with my cheapo cell phone camera but they cover the entire windshield. I can't feel them with my fingernail which leads me to believe that they should be able to be removed using the correct procedure. I was looking into Diamondite Glasswork Restorer but I'm not sure if it would be strong enough to clear up the scratches... What are your thoughts?

In order to actually "remove" below surface defects like swirls and scratches you need a glass polish that contains cerium oxide and you really need the power of a rotary buffer.

Check out my article here,

How to remove tiny pinhole pits in glass windows using a rotary buffer (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/diamondite/40436-how-remove-tiny-pinhole-pits-glass-windows-using-rotary-buffer.html)

Did the same thing on a co-worker's car only scratches...

At this time we're out of stock of the Diamondite Glass Resurfacing Cream.

Do take note of how much I stressed glass polishing is very messy and take the necessary precautions to cover and protect anything on the car or around the car that you don't want polish splatter dots on when using a glass polish with a rotary buffer.
