Most brushes that are needed to detail are for rims and cracks and crevices, for example, if dirt was stuck in the area that a vaccum could not get, you would need to push the dirt out with the brush to make it clean. For rims you would need to agitate the dirt with a brush then hose off when its broken up

I like these Clean Vent Kit (http://www.autogeek.net/ventkit.html) and these Mothers Detail Brush Set (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-detail-brush-set.html).

I use the boars hair Paint brush style for interior cleaning and dressing. I use the swissv wheel brush for outside. It looks just like the boars hair brush but it works great on gas caps emblems, trim, and tight spots on wheels. I use the green short handle for wheels and tires. I have a few of the basic carrand scrub brushes for interior doors. One is soft for doors and one is firm for carpets. The mothers carpet brush is really good too!

Raceglaze XL brush. Best brush for cleaning the barrel of a wheel. Minimal sling, super tight clearance.

^that pic explains it all!, the brushes with the red caps around the bristles are called stippling brushes and can find them for really cheap compared to the name brands, the swissvax wheel brush would be translated to a size #8 stipple brush. google a place called blockhead stamps or ebay a company called "airebrush" for some costly but very nice polished handle brushes...

where are you getting the stippling brushes, so all of those perform great for all of your interior work?
