I can see a slight difference -- but I had to look hard.

In the before picture there is a bit of a "glow" effect seen around the reflection of the overhead lights.

In the after the glow is almost complety gone, and the reflection is cleaner. However, in the after picture, the reflections from the left side of the hood appear to have some problems. Not sure where that is coming from. Perhaps the left side has not been polished yet?

yup the reflection is definitely sharper in the polished side; can't really see any little particles that would get removed by claying, but the reflection definitely has a haze around it on the left side.

Possibly it's a 50/50 shot. Left side is unpolished, right side is polished, hencewhy the left side is still hazy when seen in the polished picture

It would help if both pictures were from same angle but in 1st picture the colour looks more hazy than what it looks in 2nd

Yes. The before side has some hazing while the clayed and polishes side has a crisp reflection.

I think driver's side looks better than passenger's in both pics.

There's clearly a difference.

Mike, what lights are used above?

Definitely a difference. Although extremely slight. Around the edge of the light in the first photo there is a slight smudginess although that could just be grease that is actually making a smudge.
