For those that use a dedicated bucket and wash media for your wheels do you use cheaper soap than what you use on your paint? Just curious

I usually use a cheaper brand of wash soap like rain-x foaming or something. But on my last wash I used meguiars APC+ after a little ironx. It worked great. It's pretty reasonable especially considering you can use it for anything. I usually use meguiars gold class or dodo juice supernatural shampoo on the paint.

I just use what I have left over from washing the paint. The cost difference between a cheaper shampoo is not going to be worth my seperate prep time

If the wheels aren't very dirty I just give them a spray with the foam gun while foaming the rest of the car and scrub with the wheel brush. If they're really dirty then then they get what ever wheel cleaner I've decided to try out at the time.I'm really happy with the green bristled/short-handled wheel brush I got from AG.I work from the center of the rim out onto the tires.

I use a cheaper soap. I have been using Meguiars Deep Crystal Wash.
