much cheaper ( which may tell me something) than the metros but was wondering if anyone knows how it stacks up in suction. my crappy shopvac has bit the dust and im tired of using our dyson on details.

I looked at the Hoover GUV and several others. I ended up buying the full size Metro Vac n Blo. ZERO regrets. A fantastic machine and yes it has more suction than the Hoover.

The only draw back some have pointed out is that the Metro is not a wet vac. I have a full size wet/dry shop vac so it was not something that was a concern for me.

My whole house vac looked like that. Didn't work very well and storing the hoses took a lot of space. It uses a bagless system, which means you inhale the dust and smutz whenever you clean it. We stopped using ot about six months after we bought the house. About four months ago we took it off the garage wall where it was wasting space.

Before buying it, check the CFM And inches of lift ratings.

Dan.
