Hey folks,

I just started detailing a new car and got a bit confused. I've been reading up on some products and left Mother's pre-wax cleaner on too long. It's coming off now, but not without some heavy rubbing with a MF cloth.

The surface looks great afterwards, but it's really tough to remove it all. Is there something I can do to help remove the spots of dried on cleaner?

Thanks for the help!

Try using a detail spray or even use a little more pre-wax cleaner. Good luck!

:iagree: Richard makes a great point! :dblthumb2:

A like product will soften and make the dried product easier to remove. Typically, these are water based products so try some warm water and car wash soap. :props:

damp towel sometimes works too.

Hey, thanks for the tips. I ended up using a quick detailer and it worked out great.
