Please state your classification.

I'm a hobbiest who helps out friends and family but I don't do it for income.

My grandma paid me to wash her car once when I was like 10 years old.

Hobbiest, though people have paid me to detail their cars but I don't own a shop or anything, I just work out of my garage for fun teaching my friends how to properly care for their cars.

Hobbiest, but I have done a couple of my neighbors' cars as well. I would like to do it on the side, but just need to get more organized as a "business". Maybe print some cards or something.

I'm definitely a hobbyist. The only vehicle I've ever done is my own and have no plans of ever doing anyone else's :)

Professional hobbiest I'd say for myself. Have a dba but don't advertise myself like crazy, just local ads.

That's me.

I have had people see me obsessing over my car's finish and ask me if I will do their cars.

I tell them no, but that I will show them how to keep their cars in tip top shape. I have let people wash, correct, and wax their cars using my equipment and supplies. And in most cases they have been very happy with their new knowledge. No charge.

The people that were not real happy were the ones that just don't want to put any work into it. But at least I was able to show them the difference between paint that had actually been corrected and paint that had just been made pretty with fillers and glazes.
