A pre-wax cleaner is a paint cleaner, it's job is to clean the surface and prepare the paint for application of a wax or paint sealant. It offers no protection in and of itself. After using a pre-wax cleaner or a paint cleaner you would need to apply a wax.
A Cleaner/Wax or AIO is a product that cleans, polishes and protects in one step.
Two very different products.

Then what you really want is a Medium Cut to Light Cut Polish, a paint cleaner that is abrasive or a cleaner/wax that is a abrasive.
To remove swirls you need to remove a little paint.
See my article here,

What is an example of prewax cleaner? Is it done before or after polishing?

Pinnacle Paint Works Cleanser is a solid one , Griots has one but the name escapes me. Tome a cleaner is done in lieu of polishing. Mid cycle details where you are just reapplying a sealant or wax is where you would use the cleaner. If you are polishing I feel there is no need for a cleaner as the polishing is actually removing a small amount of the finish and what's left should be pristine and clean. Hope that helps.

it helps ... i can try polishing a little bit on one section and applying cleaner wax on another section and see which one looks best ... i guess i hope that the cleaner wax will do becuase it will save me time in not having to buff the car out twice ... if it doesn't look right i will just have to polich it and then not use the cleaner wax altogether and just go to a normal wax.
