Justin and I teamed up again last weekend on this Proweler, which belongs to a good client of mine. The paint condition was actually in very good shape overall, but it did had several moderate scratches scattered thorough out the finish where were deeper than what could be removed with a 1-step polish. At first we were just going to try and spot hit the deeper ones, but after washing and inspecting the finish more closely, it was clear that there was just too many and it made more sense to just go with a full 2-step correction. Total correction achieved from our process was about 90-95%.

Process:

Wash - Foamed with CGCW and OPC, rinsed, then washed with CGCW.
Wheels - CG Diablo Gel and various brushes, polished with Mothers mini power ball and Megs chrome polish
Tires - OPC, dressed with Megs Hyper Dressing
Suspension comp - OPC and various brushes
Clay - Blackfire clay and M34 as lube
Paint correction - D300/MF on the GG6 followed by PO85RD/Crimson LC on the Flex PE14 rotary
Glass - Megs D120
Exhaust tips - Megs Chrome polish
Coating Prep - Foamed with CGCW and OPC, rewashed with CGCW followed by Eraser wipe-down
Coating - Optimum Opti-Guard, applied to paint, trim, and wheels.

Owner had several areas with wax/polish splatter or excess in cracks....jokingly I told him I was taking his Porter Cable away from him. :D

Nice work Chad, awesome results as usual for all your work. I really like the Prowler. While I was at Meguiar's I taught either 2 or 3 classes for the SoCal Prowler club and we had some pretty hot Prowlers (http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/2JimPolishinghisProwler26.jpg) attend.

Thanks Mike! I'm a big fan of the Prowler too and really like it in this orange color. Looks much, much better without the front bumpers!

That black on looks sick...can't recall ever seeing a hard top on one... :props:

I must say that the owner has taken very good care of his car for not being a full time detailer.

And you took care of what he couldn't Very nice looking prowler. Lots of fussy little areas on those cars. Hard to reach some of them.

very nice work, i love the looks of the prowlers but the performance is not the best, cant even swap engines due to the small sized engine bay it has, still an awesome looking car, just seen one with the SAME color earlier today didnt look nearly as good as this one, seen a saturn sky earlier too, corey would have slapped the guy for how dirty and swirled it was!

I love Prowlers. Nice work on it also :dblthumb2: I think they should have dropped a Viper motor in one. I know there is no room but it would have been sweeeeeeeeet. Like the commercial.

That is awesome! What kind of airbrush are you using in the last picture? Do you need a small compressor for it or can you hook it up to a regular size garage compressor at a lower PSI setting?
