I got my PC 7424XP in the mail on Friday and was very eager to try it out. My Dad told me I could practice on his car since it was in desperate need of some work.
His Sonata does not get taken care of very often and was riddled with water spots, swirl marks and scratches. Just what the PC was made for! :xyxthumbs:
This is my first write up like this, so be gentle! ;)
So off we go.
Products used:
Optimum Car Wash
Pinnacle Clay
Meguiar's Cleaner Wax
Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover
XMT 360
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
I washed and clayed the car so it was all ready for some work. Here is what we are working with:

Here are some close ups of the water spots, scratches, etc

I used a white LC CCS pad to apply the cleaner wax and was amazed at the results after just using the cleaner wax

I didn't tape off the car, but here is a descent before/after. The before is on the right side of the picture and after is on the left. You can see a noticeable difference.

After applying the cleaner wax I was left with a VERY dirty white CCS pad, I put it right in some DP Pad cleaner and let is soak. I then threw on an Orange LC CCS pad and applied the Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover. Here is a shot of the hood after applying the Wolfgang

The most noticeable difference was on the roof.

After Wolfgang Swirl Remover, quite the difference

After the swirl remover I applied XMT 360 (Clean Seal Protect). This was a wonderful product, went on very easy and as the product claims, no buffing required!! There were only a couple spots I had to buff the product off, mostly near trim pieces.
After the XMT was on I decided to give the car a coat in some Pinnacle Souveran for some added shine! Here is the finished product

So after 4.5 hours of work, I finally got to roll the car out into the daylight. It was a cloudy day so I didn't get to see how shiny the car really was, but even in the cloudy weather the car looked fantastic. The photos really don't do it justice.

My first DA experience was awesome. I had so much fun doing detailing the car and after applying each product I could see a noticeable difference. I can't wait to do more cars!
Thanks for reading
PS....I know someone is going to ask. Here is what is under the cover on the other side of the garage
