No just after using rotary initial 1st cut with compound!

use any type of polish or swirl remover on an orange pad or something with even less cut. DA will remove the holograms no matter what combo you use, even if you use a yellow with compound.

Finish down with a finer polish and you won't need a DA.

Who makes 106FA?

Menzerna. It is the same thing as 85rd just with twice the abrasives for more polishing power.

No holograms with 106 with rotary at all?

I too find this hard to believe...since it says it will remove 2500 grit sanding scratches

nope not with a polishing or finishing pad. never tried it with a heavy cutting pad which you probably shouldn't be doing anyway

Had some meguiars swirl free polish laying around so I ran my buffer over it with both polish and finishing foam pads...no swirls, yet didn't wipe finish down with alcohol so we will see later!

If I had a Flex 3401,I would definitely do final polishing step with it to ensure not even a faint hologram could be detected period!
