I have used these two alone before, but never together. I always topped blacklight before with something else, other than V7. After reading silverfox's post in my other thread, I sought out to just try V7 on my paint alone, this morning at 6:30.

Blacklight was curing on my paint for 12 hours, since I applied at dusk yesterday.

After buffing off V7 this morning, I opened my garage door, and my jaw just about dropped. In the early morning sun peering into my driveway, I was treated with probably the wettest paint I have ever seen. And I've been doing this a long time. I have truly honestly never seen ANYthing like this before. Period.

So I grabbed my camera and tripod immediately.

THESE PHOTOS ARE 100% UNEDITED. I simply downloaded it and posted here. I took 3 diff't shots and just varied shutter speed to show you the depth of this combo.

You guys take a look and judge for yourself.

Mark, thank you. Have you or anyone else tried this combo too? But yes cg makes some good stuff.

Scott, I plan on doing this later. It's cloudy this morning, with patchy fog. I'm not driving her in this yet. This midmorning and pm it should clear up. I will take some shots then.

Told ya. V7 is the perfect topper to BL. Best combo ever..?..it's certainly the easiest combo to use and oh by the way ... The results speak for themselves. CG spent years developing those two products and frankly if you applied BL 4x a year and topped it with V7 after every wash... You could throw everything else out.

I've always been one to stick with a winning combo once I get it dialed in. Nice thing about this combo is that it is easy to use. I want to try some other combos including different Blackfire combinations but right now on dark paint this combo it the easiest and best looking that I've tried on my own car.

I think this is a very good point. For awhile there, I was buying products because they were "new", while I already had products I really liked. Now, I've narrowed it down to products I really like for each category, and I've stuck to it. I haven't bought anything new in a month. :righton: However, I'm gonna try BL and V7.

It's not advertised as a durable LSP. One to two weeks is great for a "glaze"!

I've just put a big order in and getting some BL and Pete's 53, I still have a bottle of V7 laying around, any benefit to putting Pete's ontop of BL / V7 or stick with BL and V7 / Pete's?

Beautiful looking car btw! :xyxthumbs:

Not a great LSP is fine... i'd still top it with many different things... like wax or a sealant....
But even with other stiff being topped over BL... idk if it will last longer than just plain BL

Your car would look awesome wearing Turtle Wax in the right light. Dawn and dusk = awesome shine and gloss.

BL and V7 is indeed a very good combo. Lately, I've put Blackfire over the BL so I don't need to touch up with the V7 so much.

Blacklight + Blackfire ........sounds good doesn't it!
