This was yet another referral from the same area that I've been working at for the last 3 days. The building you all have seen in the background is actually a hotel/spa. Very high-end. Mud baths, tropical facial, hair styling, everything you can think of. There is one store though underneath. It's a jacuzzi spa sales store. This vehicle is owned by the manager there. She's had it for about a year and 20K miles. It has never been waxed. I'm so amazed that people do not know enough to wax a vehicle or to have it done. Oh well, guess that's my job!
Here's the process:
Wheels, Tires, and Wells:
(Purple Power full strength onto tires, wheels and wells)
I simply blasted these areas with my pressure washer. I come back after the wash with my left over wash water to clean the wheels fully. This is just a major dirt removal stage.
Wash Cycle....
(Meguiar's NXT Tech Wash with Black ShMitt)
I've actually made up a concentrated mix of NXT in a spray bottle for bugs. This baby had a ton of them on the front!. I sprayed the bumper and mirrors down with this mix and let soak. I then proceeded to wash the Jeep down starting at the top with the back ShMitt. Nope, no marring! After rinsiing, I take my left over wash water and clean the tires and wheels thoroughly with my Wheel ShMitt. I then rinsed and covered the wells and tires with a coat of Armor All Tire Foam. I applied this while the areas were still wet. The allows for the removal of any overspray from the foam by drying with a Guzzler.
Paint Polishing.....
Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl Remover
(Used EDGE2K Green Pad at a #6 PC setting)
This pad along with ASR is really smooth. I feels a lot more controllable than the brute yellow pad and glides over the paint easily. This combo took some more time, but finished off super slick with no swirls left behind. No dusting either!
Paint Protection....
Pinnacle's Souveran Spray Wax
(Applied with dampened MF towel, flipped over and buffed off.)
A couple of sprays onto the towel is all that is needed to prime it up. Then, one spray per panel. Once again, this was a dark color in full sun. No problems at all.....even on the glass! The paint was deep, dark and rich........just as if a paste had been used.
Interior
DP's Total Interior Cleaner and Interior Protectant
(Cleaned panels and applied protection with MF towels)
DP's Cleaner works really well. It can even be diluted 1:1 which is what I do. I used it on the leather as well with no discoloration of spotting. Nice scent to......banana. I then followed up the cleaning by applying DP's Interior Protectant to every plastic, vinyl, and leather surface in the vehicle. It dries to the touch and leaves a matte finish.....light banana scent as well. Glass was then cleaned with Diamondite's Glass Cleaner.
