Well, after seeing my work yesterday, I several calls yesterday evening. This was one of three that I did again at the same location as the H2. This was the only full detail......the others were wash/waxes.

This car had some really apparent damage. Seems that the client was on an interstate when a blowout from an 18 wheeler sent some tire fragments flying her way. It had taken out her windshield (replaced) but left a huge mark on her hood. My job.......just make it look "better". I'll take that challenge any day! I mean, how could I make look worse? So off to work I went.

Here's the process:

Wash....
(NXT Tech Wash with Black ShMitt)

Yep, black ShMitt. I've now used it on over 100 cars and it has not induced anymore marring than any other wash device I've used. The benefit you ask? Larger pores me better cleaning and better releasing of dirt debris. Nothing cleans better than this mitt. I promise you that.

Wheels, Tires, and Wells....
(DP's Exterior cleaner for the tires and wells. DP's Gel Whee Cleaner with Black ShMitt. Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel on the tires and No-Touch Wet'n Protect on the wells.)
After letting the tires and wells soak while I was cleaning the rims with the ShMitt, I blasted the areas with my pressure washer. The DP's Gel really cleaning the wheels.......with no harshness at all. DP's Exterior Cleaner handled it's task well. Even diluted at 1:1. Good combo here!

Interior
(DP's Total Interior Cleaner for cleaning. Pinnacle's Vinyl and Rubber Protectant for panels and dash. Pinnacle's Leather Cleaner/Condtioner for the seats.)
All cleaned up well with a damp MF towel. A wipe down on the dash, doors and seat went quick. I'm not used to doing cars! The client did not wish to have her mats or engine cleaned due to time restraints. The mats got a light wipe down and then quickly striped. I really liked the look of the Pinnacle products. Nice scent too.....light banana.

Exterior Paint Polish and Protection
(Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl remover followed by Pinnacle's Souveran Spray Wax. Used EDGE2K Green Polishing Pas at at #6 on the PC.)
ASR and the EDGE pad combo did an amazing job and cleaning up the damaged hood. This polish finished out so smooth. No marring at all. It really brought out the pearls in this paint. There were 4-5 deeper scratches that would not come out. I and the client were really pleased though. Souveran Spray Wax brought out the shine just as good as any paste or liquid wax could. The pearls were popping the depth was there......even on white!

Here's the pics.......

Nope. She's gonna have it fixed in a month or two. I was just recruited to make it look "better". That's all.

:applause: Justin,
I love hard work especially when someone else is doing it. I heard that a long time ago and thought it appropriate for what you do. Tell me about how much time you spent doing this. I am slow at getting things done but I like good results like yours. I realize this is something you do for a living and I won't come near the speed you can do this stuff.

I was at the detailfest and did not spend enough time watching your work for whatever reason. You seem to be well known on this forum and I think it was you who wrote a great review of what the detailfest meant to you. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm . I will be sure to find time to visit and talk with you next year if I get to come back.

Good work on the hood and whole car Justin. At least on the cars your not climbing all over them to clean the roofs.

Rick

I spent about 2.5 hours on this one. Not a lot of swirl removing. Mainly a good paint cleaning.

Thanks for all you said there Rick. Mean a lot to me that you and others get something out of my reviews and posts.

Lookin' good bro! Justin, how do you like the Black Onyx tire gel? I'm going to buy a gallon of it when it goes on sale. Smells incredible and love the way it "soaks" into the tire and still gives a great shine. Not as "blingy" as the AA tire gel, but MUCH easier to use in my opinion.
