Do you guys treat wiper blades? If so, what do you guys use to treat them?

I currently have Meguiar's: natural shine protectant, ultimate protectant (spray), quik interior detailer and hyper dressing. Can any of these be used?

This is what I use:

303 Wiper Treatment stops squeaking and skipping wiper blades. 303 Wiper Treatment reconditions hardening rubber blades and makes them glide like new. (http://www.autogeek.net/303wiptreat.html)

Works great! :props:

I use it too! It works great; it's not a miracle worker to COMPLETELY get rid of streaking, but it does a damned good job at significantly reducing it and making them go smother

I wouldn't use ANY of these as they will smear an oily film all over the glass.

Either use the 303 wiper blade treatment as suggested below, or what I do is use my Meguiar's glass cleaner to clean them.

Whenever I clean the windscreen with the glass cleaner, I use a paper towel saturated with the Megs glass cleaner (D120) and run it over the blades. It keeps them nice and clean and I've never had any problems with them drying out.

I usually use washer reservoir fluid to clean them but I was wondering if any of the above could work. I guess I'll have to get the 303 treatment at some point. Thanks all

I use 303 wiper tx also and every wash i clean the windows with stoners (i do have megs 120---- im just finishing off my stoners invi glass) using a waffle weave mf towels and then when im done i soak a portion of the towel with stoners and wipe off my wipers blade with it.

Is the 303 treatment any different than just spraying 303 AP on a mf and wiping them down?

I clean mine with alcohol then wipe them down with regular 303 about four times a year. Five year old wiper blades still work properly and don't smear.

Actually tim, i dont know.....when i used it, it has a white foamy residue as i wipe it off the blades.

As per 303window wiper tx instruction, wipe it off on the blade and let it dry (i did wait 1 min before i wipe it off again with towel) and per sheet can treat 3 windshield wipers ( i did it on my 2 cars with 1 packet) and reapply every after 3-5 weeks.....

I have my 3 month old wipers and Its been 10 days now(post 303 application) so far no smearing and streaking. I did use the 303 tablets too for the windshield fluid. But then again, i polished my windows with griots window polish to remove acid stain on my windshield last year with aquapel before using these products. And i've been cleaning my windows since then every onr wash.

I think to get the best benefit out of these products is to clean the windows beforehand.

Any good water based UV Blocker will work fine. I prefer DG 531.

I treat them to a full tour of the trash can and install new ones.

Do you think any other water based dressing can be used in the same manner?
