need to know opinions on the pro's/con's of Meguires D151. Going to use it on my friends Cadillac Silver in color 2010. He ues this car for his business as a funeral director. Don't have much time with it over the coming weekend. Thanks. Will be using a PC or Flex.

Personally I really like it, I top it with a sealant or wax though cause it doesn't have the greatest durability, but I am in the northwest so...

Meguiar's D151 is a very nice 1-step product. It can be used with both rotary and dual action polishers and because it contains abrasives it removes swirls and other like defects.

Alone is leaves behind a nice gloss and surface protection but I'm a believer in adding an additional sealant or wax...

Bobby: i was curious to know what you did in between the 151 and the sealant (prep for sealant)?

D151 is ready to be topped with any Meg's wax once you buff if off. I have done this with great results.

Otherwise, if you are going to be removing the D151 wax to use a different sealant, why not polish with a better one-step polish?

For a super quick 1 step with d151 I leave the residue on the paint and allow it haze as I work around the car as you would a wax. Once I've finished polishing the entire car I go back and remove the residue in conjunction with either JW AJT or OCW to give added durability with no real additional steps or work.

Most likely you won't pull a ton of defects if its a Cadillac. You'll get some but not a ton. Cadillacs usually have hard clear.

Never worked on Cadillac paint, but D151 is as solid a product as it gets.

I wouldnt use 3.0 to top anything... The durability will be cut in at least half.

What is the reason for the cut in durability?

Count me in for liking it also! Ive used about a half gallon. I did use it on a black escalade and was happy with it. Sometimes i find it a little hard to remove tho.
