It works great. Never had an issue with residue.

I agree, blue painters tape works great. I too was worried that it would leave a sticky residue...but it doesn't....came off nice and clean.

Works great. Was going to make a thread about this but I'll just ask in here.

Where is a good place to get this cheaper or in buk? Lowe's and home depot are EXPENSIVE!

Look in the phone book for a automotive supply house that carries paint.
Make sure they give you the short price, in person
They will give you the list price over the phone if they don't know who you are.

The blue 3M tape is fine to use. I use the green color 3M tape. I get it from a body shop

The green and blue tapes are fine...no glue left behind..there are some cheap brands out there and not as good as name brands..best bet is the 3M brand..

best bet is the buy in bulk to save money...do a google search and you will find bulk lots at body shop supply stores at very good prices...10 roll lots...and case lots...from 1 inch to 3 inches wide

The blue is less sticky. It should actually leave less residue than the green in theory. However, I find that it also comes off easier while buffing. The green is also cheaper.

So, I use only the green. I have never had problems with residue with the green though. As long as you don't leave it on to long and peel it off right.

most internet sites have it on sale for bulk prices...the best place i found was at costco...was like 11 buck for three rolls of tape...and it is just right down the street :)

Todd,
I gotta tell ya, I was a little worried about sticking that blue tape all over the vette in order to use the pc. And boy did it ever take a while to mask off all the things that needed to be covered. But I gotta agree - it came off fine. No residue, no damage, no nothing. It is wonderful to work with. I was careful not to cheap out and go use the 3M brand. And I will continue to use this in the future. There is my two cents.
I usually find the advice the majority gives me on the forum is right on.
(You guys all rock!!)
