If you had to pick just one all-around pad (or maybe two pads) to use, what would it/they be? What products would you use with that all-around pad/pads?

orange and grey....orange for swirl removing/compounding with pb products, and the grey for applying waxes/glazes/sealants....i've survived many a detailing adventures with just an orange pad...works great and pretty much has decent cut depending on what type of polish/compound you are using...when i feel lazy i use a grey or blue pad to apply waxes and sealants that could just as easily be applied by hand...orange pad imoho is the best all around pad...

One 7.5" LC variable contact polishing (white) pad for SSR2.5 and another 7.5" LC variable contact polishing pad for SSR1 or another finishing polish like PwC, PwS, AIO, etc.

If I can get by with polishing and finishing pads I'd be happy (most cases I'm happy :))

Thanks for the feedback. What are the products you mentioned (pb, PwC, PwS, AIO)? Right now I use megs for compound/polish and 3M for wax. they seem to work pretty good. Are these other products better? And where can I find some trial size bottles? One more question...I am using the polish as an all around swirl remover/polisher. It seems to get rid of the swirls. Is there something better I can do?

PB = Poorboy's
PwS - Poorboy's Polish with sealant
PwC = Poorboy's polish with carnauba
AIO = All in on polish, frequently referring to Klasse's version

If I had to pick 2 pads then they would be orange and white ccs pads. I have been using Menzerna polish and their FMJ wax. The results are stunning on black and red paints. But I believe it is just matter of opinion and personal choice when it comes to product choice.
