I have had mine since they came out. I just hated the crappie hose that comes with it. Not long enough, always kinks up,etc.
So one day at home depot I see this accessory kit. And I bought it, to use with my vac. A detailing buddie of mine(name withheld):D said he bought it to and it would not work. Something about the end caps were to big or something like that. Well I am here to tell you it does fit and works :awesome:

Who said size doesn't matter:D or lenght

Take #C black locking tab hose adapter. And attach to one end of hose

Unscrew the other end, and remove it. Attach the #D Swivel end hose adapter to it, by screwing it onto the hose end.

Final look, now with a longer reach, and no kinkingIm the MAN

I almost bought that Ridgid 4gal, 5HP vac yesterday. Don't worry, I will be going back for it. I've had my eyes set on it for about 2 months.

I plan on buying the detailing accessory kit fot it though. It's $20 and comes with a few tools along with an 11' hose. However the hose is only 1 1/4" I believe.

I think Justin had the same problem and was telling us about it at Detail Fest.
Hope he looks at this post to solve his probem, looks like a great fix.

I picked up a 12 gallon 5.5 HP ShopVac at Lowes a week ago. What's great about it is the motor comes out with a 2 gallon tank and second filter attached! The 2 gal fits perfect on the back seat floor and takes 1.5 inch hose. If you also need a large tank (I do some woodworking too) this is a nice setup.

Like my Rigid but the hose is junk. Thanks didn't know about the kit.

The "pro" hose has a swivel coupling on one end? I have to get that! My stock hose does not have a swivel coupling and it drives me nuts. My old Craftsman wet/dry vac had one and it was a small detail, but great to have.

LOL I've been preaching the merits of the Pro hose kit for nearly a year. IMO, the vac is USELESS without it.

Count me in. Got the 11' black detail hose but there are some attachments that I can't use with it. The claw is one so I have to change hoses. Not any more. Thanks Ed.
