Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and this is my first post so I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris, I live in Massachusetts and we've had an incredible winter with almost no snow. I've always been very particular with my vehicles and I've never trusted anyone to detail my cars, I've always done it myself. With that said, and given the great weather, I took some time detailing my 2008 535xi today and thought I'd share some photos. I apologize up front that I failed to take any "before" pictures.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, I have learned a lot about detailing and some great products too.

Here's what I did over many hours today:
Outside:
Washed wheels and rims with DP Wheel cleaner
Thorough washing of car with Wolfgang Auto bath
Complete dry with The Guzzler
In my garage:
Cleaned glass with DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner
Clay bar entire car with Meguiars clay and quick detailer.
1 coat P21s paste wax
1 coat Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant
Wheel wax rims
Pinnacle Black Onyx tire gel on tires
Wolfgang Exterior trim sealant on all exterior black trim
Vacuum interior
Pinnacle vinyl and rubber protectant

I look forward to any honest feedback and thanks again for a great forum.
Cheers!
Chris

Hi Chris,

:welcome: to Autogeeks.

Yes, we have had some great car detailing weather for this winter.
I've washed my car six times in this month alone. Using either the foam gun or Optimum No Rinse.

You did a great job on your BMW. :dblthumb2:

Thanks Guys.
Rix, yea it's a 2008! My wife has a 2009 MDX which looks almost like new, but she is not as particular with her car as I am with mine. She's got a lot of scratches and the like from the kids. I plan on doing a complete detail on her car in the early spring, I'll post some before/after picts.

Steve
Does look like that doesn't it!
It's a weird shift that took a bit of time to get used to, German engineering at it's best!
