I use one of these, my feet are a little on the big, OK a large size and they get stuck in the small plastice stools you can buy.
This gives you a little more room to move around on.
I think it's about 20" high and you can find them at Lowe's or Home Cheapo or a good Hardware store.
They are $40 but I think I got mine on sale for $35

If I get one, I'll be getting this one. Nice that you can move side to side, ON the step.

wheel wells and the tires work pretty well.

I use it for my electrical work and for many other non-detailing projects.
The legs lock in place so it's safe and very sturdy

LOL. Tarzan style detailing huh? well, Tarzan hangs from a vine or something, but you get the idea.

edit: Oh yeah I forgot about my response. I use this step stool, but I need something where I can walk around like the one that Stittville Ed uses

I use a rubbermaid folding step ladder from Walmart. I think it's around $15. You can see a picture on Officedepot website item 229669. I replaced my first one that I used for 5 years or so in my mobile business. It still works fine but had some damage from backing into it with my truck a couple of years ago. Figured I'd replace it before it broke on me one day. I'm 230lbs and have been as high as 265. I stand on back tires but I can't do the front tires. I don't like to stand in the door jambs for fear the plastic strip might break. I'd like one of those platform things though.
