Im sure it has already been talked about but couldn't find a post about it.

Does anyone know if you can use IronX on a single stage painted car? It's an older Volvo that has been repainted but still no clear coat.

Do I need to do anything different with a single stage?

yes you can

the only thing is clean/swap out your pads more frequently

have you read Mike's articles on feeding single stage with meg's 7 or his writeup on a white toyota suv with ss paint?

I just used IronX on a single stage white Toyota.

Lots of purple! And it doesn't harm the paint at all. And I did clay it before using the IronX.
Might as well get as much crud out of the way before using the IronX.

Nope.

Lots of crap on the paint is not ferrous.

The clay gets rid of sap, bugs, or any other no ferrous stuff on the paint, giving the IronX a completely clean surface to attack.
