Back to Wellington i went to do the wife's 640i after i did husband's 750Li.
He told me the story of how got this car for about 35k less than what it's worth. The dealer ran an ad for a 6 series but when he went in they told him it had been sold.
He said, it's an hour after the ad came out, who did you sell it to?
Let me see the invoice of the sale. They couldn't produce it.
He said, even if one needs to be ordered for me and i have to wait months for it, i will wait.
After hearing lots of screaming coming from the back room, they gave him this car that was on display on the showroom floor.
Not much done here, wash, clay and sealed.
It's a very good looking color though, so i decided to post it.

very nice - I see you do a lot of BMW stuff - how would you classify the paint - in terms of hardness?

seriously, how do you keep the rust from dripping down the barrels? Every time I clean the barrels with the Daytona speedmaster brush and blow dry the rims with compressed air, rust still drips down and stains the barrels. What's your secret?

Great job on the white car.
What did you use for LSP?

I love that pearl color but I don't think I could ever own a white car :/

No secret on the wheels, i just make sure to blow them dry real well after i rinsed everything completely off.
LSP on this one was 845.
The color is very fitting on this model i think.
I will be keeping up with all of their cars from now on also so it should be looking good for some time to come.

Yeah I blow dry them too but I still get that orange rust from the rotors. I'm using the metro vac 8HP model which is the strongest possible. WHat chemical and brush combo do you clean the barrels with?

Sometimes just soap and water if they're not that dirty. And i blow them dry with a regular blower that you would use in the yard.

you're making it sound too easy. I have a 5 series BMW and the brake dust is horrendous. I have to use the daytona speed master wheel brush, Megs Wheel Brightener, and mothers wheel brush to get the thing clean. Sometimes I have to do it twice. SOmetimes I take the wheel off cause it's just black...

That's very common on Bimmers, your best bet is to upgrade to better brake pads when it's time to be replaced.

I hear you. However, all the maintenance is free on the bimmer for 4 years, so I'm not paying extra for something. Also, I'm kinda leery about using non OEM brake pads.

They really changed the look of the 6 series.
Nice job cleaning it up. You really made the white stand out nice.
