Im looking to buy a flex 3401 VRG, 3403 lightweight rotary or the pe-14. Anybody have anything cheaper than brand new?

I don't think you can do this here...I mean members can't sell stuff.

Your right you can't but IMO the light weight Flex gets to hot when used for long periods . The PE is the way to go with a rotary

Yeah, I kind of expected them to drop the 3403 when the PE-14 came out.

i have a pc7424 now and it works great for using it on my own truck because mine is not neglected but i am now starting to do a bunch of people's vehicles for money and its starting to turn more into a buisness and i need speed and a buffer that will cut hard and fast! i have some experience with a rotary but i just want to use 6.5" pads on a rotary.

Not too many people that buy a Flex want to get rid of it. Try Craigslist or eBay.

I would wait for AG to have a good sale or just buy it now. It's well worth the price of admission.

What do you think about a 3401 or do you think its just time to step up to the rotary?

If you are comfortable with a rotary i would get the PE.

Would that make my 2 step correction faster? usually i use d300 or m95 then follow with m205 with my pc and taking about 9 hours for a crew cab truck from start to finish.

Absolutely. A section may correct in 2 passes with a rotary while the pc may take 6.

I think thats what im going to do then is go with a rotary, i was just seeing if anybody had anything i could get second hand because i just turned 18 and my dad stopped paying child support and my mom and step dad just got a nasty divorse and now its just me and my mom and baby sister and we dont have much money now, so i mean if i could save $100 that could help my mom with bills and stuff and if a rotary could speed up my process i could help her out alot more and save time and maybe do 2 vehicles in one day instead of 1. I just need to take care of them and help put food on the table, its rough man.

The 3403 is noisy and it doesn't go down to low RPM. I guess I haven't used mine enough to have the "getting hot" issue, or it could be the inconsistent grease issue Flex seemed to have when they first hit the market here (actually the noise and the heat are probably related). That being said, the 3403 is definitely at a lower price point than the PE-14 or the 3401, so that's the tradeoff.

I think supporting swapping, selling, sampling, etc. would be an advancement to AGO.
