First post (12 pictures, 56k warning)

Went down south with my girlfriend for spring break. We stayed with her brother who is a car detailing god and happens to be a member on these forums. I must admit before this past week I used to run my car through a car wash or more often than not use the spray bays but use their soap/brush as well (I know, how terrible) My car has a little over 58k not-too-easily driven miles. It had swirls and small scratches and door dings all over the place. I didn't get my hopes up on the outcome, but the results were amazing in my opinion. We used quite a bit of product on the car to get it looking the way it does, but I think it looks great. I owe it all to one of your fellow members too. He more or less showed me how to do everything along the way too so I can maintain the look of my car and possibly work on a few other cars now that I'm back home. Anyhow, here is a list of products we used and some pictures:

PAINT
PC orange lc pad - Poorboy's ssr3
PC orange lc pad - XMT 2
PC white lc pad - Poorboy's PWS
By hand - Duragloss 601 PBA
By hand on top of 601 - Duragloss 105 (left on car for 1 hour)
The next day 2 wipedowns with - Duragloss Aquawax

WHEELS
DP wheel glaze
Duragloss AW x1
4* tire gel
No touch tire protectant inside wheelwells

GLASS
Inside - Sprayway glass cleaner
Outside - polished with Duragloss glass polish and then topped with Duragloss rain repel.

Nice Job and what a great finish. If I may ask, who is the forum member who did this work? Now, you know how and what to do to maintain his or hers work and what can be done to a needed detail on a car. JoeD

He goes by Strokin04 on here I believe. He's away for the week otherwise I'm sure he'd be in here.

While down there I picked up some of the Duragloss car wash concentrate (901) that we used, I got the Duragloss clear coat polish (111) and some of the Duragloss Aquawax (951) to keep the shine. In the next day or two I'll be ordering a Schmitt and grit guard from Autogeek, getting some microfiber towels from Sams Club and getting a knock-off Guzzler from Walmart until Autogeek gets the mid-sized one in towards the end of the month, then I'll pick that up.

haha, we didn't race. His car obviously has 10x the potential mine does...but as is my car would walk away from his pretty bad.
