So, currently my business is called Godfrey Auto Detailing. Not to hard to figure out where that came from. In the last year or so, I've gotten a modest amount of word of mouth so there's definitely some name recognition out there.
Since I've been hanging around here, I'm starting to reconsider the name. I don't want to come across as arrogant. I mostly just wanted something people would remember. Now I'm thinking that might not cut it. If I WERE to change, should expect to have to start over on marketing? Would the people that know me need to know the change, or would having my phone number cover the bases on that one?

Ahhhh, what to do, what to do....

Relocating shouldn't be too painful so long as you keep the appropriate pointers.

If you have a website, consider leaving the main page, metadata, and registration in place for a year or so. Simply change the welcoming information to reference your new home!

If you're BBB listed, you will do well to ensure your company listings are accurately homed. You can enter your new company contact info as well.

Some pre-advertising should alert your customers. With a storefront, just put up a banner or other adequate notice of upcoming changes prior to the 'Big Move'. If you're mobile, word of mouth or a flier may suffice.

As long as email \ phone works it shouldn't be so bad.

Well, hope this helps :D. Best of luck!
