Well upon arriving home at 3:10, I looked at my car and my reflection was not looking back!

So I thought to myself about all the boxed goodies from AG Detailfest just sitting in the boxed inside my garage door.

Reviews:

Dp Duper Swirl Elimator:

When you open this chemical, it can ebe realized that it means business! It smells like chemicals and is very grity, an obviously strong polish, [it will be needed]

On abrasiveness, I cannot really tell you, if I were to guess I would say it similar to ssr2.5-3 and around XMT3 or a little stronger.

Working it in was a pleasure. It melted right into the paint with zero dusting and produced a mirror finish and left a nice glow to the paint with little work time needed. my experience with this shows that it would be a great product for a mobile detailer to get good results in less time that prefers the PC.

Edge Pads, Green and white pads.

This was my first time using the edge pads, and boy was it an experience! I fastened the adapter in and loaded the green pad to use the DP SUper Swirl compound. It reduced vibration and the even surface contact coupled with good centering made a pleasant PC experience! It really made the difference for me using the porter cable. Not to mention the pad flipping is awesome. Two in One! :D

The Green pad can be compared to LC's Orange pad in terms of abrasiveness. It is a nice cutting pad for medium defects and could also be used with an avrasive sealant eg Poorboys Polish n Seal or Poliseal with great results

The White pad is a polishing pad and probabaly the best wax remover I have used to date. It leaves a nice luster to your finish, and I will be doing this step on all future details that require a sealant /LSP.

The one thing Ive heard complaints about is the adapter. After talking to Aaron at detailfest, I decided to try it out so I could see what the complaints refered to, and the answer is, improper fitment and usage of the adapter. I found that if you held the pad with two hands, thumbs on the head of the adapter they poped on and off like butter. But if you used one hand or angled your thrust SLIGHTLY it would act "stuck"

Beware of this! Dont let improper usage deter you from Edge Pads.

Pinnacle Souveran / Crystal Mist

Pinnalce Souveran has a reputation and signature glow. It is without a doubt the best high end wax for the price. Pinnacle Souveran is a wax aimed towards darker shades and reds with the best results, however it will make any properly preped paint shine!

Application was easy. I misted my cobra foam applicator and did one panel at a time. This helps me to make the most out of a tin of wax by only having to barely scrape the surface of the paste 1-3 times per side of the vehicle. I apply in slightly overlaping stripes as Pinnacle Souveran has no cleaning agents, circles are not needed/wanted! All said and done, it left an awesome look! Wet and shimmering!

Crystal Mist is my new favorite QD. I applied with a Cobra Blue Fuzzy MF and ran it in N to S directions across the body panels like applying a wax. The biggest mistake with a qd, is that alot of people cake it on! Dont! A VERY light mist across the panel brings best results. Bottom line: Fabulous gloss, reflection, and deph added to Souveran, 11/10.

Now on to the pics! :D

Forgive the lack of sunlight, I wanted twilight pics! :D

Souveran is truly the best, and remember its WOWO ... immediately wipe off while damp. No drying time. As Ryan offered, only one of two circles in the jar you dont need to pull out a clump.

YES IT WILL! What color is your car?

Its Honda Graphite Pearl...I made a thread not too long ago with a good coat of Souveran, and thought about ordering the QD to keep it up.

Hey Ryan,
Nice write-up and awesome job on your car. The pics are truly a reflection of your hard work. Next year at Detail Fest you better have that car parked in the lot with all of the others, not across the street. You deserve to be in the main lot dude. :righton:

Hehe thanks! Yeah next year Im going to work extra hard on it. I hope to have my 15" BBS rims on there by then.

Also I might have my custom projector HID headlights. So maybe just maybe I can make the cut for the front lot :)

@av6: That color will look wonderful under the liquid souveran and CM. Good luck with it! :)
