So I had a co-worker tell me a story recently about waxing his truck, his words in quotes:
"I know you're into all that car cleaning so I thought I would wax my truck to make you proud."
He has my attention at this point, naturally. It's a little older regular cab Ford Ranger, maybe mid 90's.
"yeah, I washed it and bought a can of Turtle Wax and decided to go for it."
I expected that part but not the following...
"I applied the whole can to my truck, let it dry while I went to pick up my son from school, but had to run a couple errands. When I came back I tried to remove it but it was like concrete so I drove to my buddy's house and asked if I could borrow his buffer. I told him why and he said that I better try some other way to remove the wax because I might damage the paint. So I drove back to my house and washed my truck 3 times while trying to get that junk off my truck. I don't see how you enjoy this."
All I could say was - you did what? He started laughing and said surely there's an easier way. So I had to ask - did you read the directions? I'm pretty sure it says one section at a time, allow to haze, then remove.
"no, I didn't look. I thought you had to use the whole can."
