Thanks for your opinions

Very easy to order the wrong one. I did the same thing and have a bottle of 85U that I use once in awhile. There is a chart floating around somewhere on this forum explaining the different numbers if you do a search for it. I think the cut is similar to 106fa. I THINK that another difference is that 85RD was designed with the ceramiclear paints in mind and the 85U was not.

Here is a link to a VERY helpful chart: Autogeek Menzerna Compounds Comparison Chart (http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-cut-chart-menzerna.htm)

Here is part of the product description: "Menzerna Final Finish PO85U is very similar to the Menzerna Micro Polish in terms of finish but Final Polish works faster. Extremely fine abrasives polish the paint to actually remove minor spider webbing, not just temporarily hide it. This is an important point: most finishing polishes or prewax cleaners contain solvent cleaners to clean the paint and remove minor flaws. Menzerna Final Finish accomplishes the same goal through mechanical polishing action that permanently improves the paint surface and will not contribute to dulling in the long run."

if you ordered the incorrect product call up AG and explain the situation and they should send a shipping return label and will resend the correct product, just a suggestion for you, and i agree with above poster all of AG's charts stay on my pc for quick reference when im shopping for product or thinking of a combo to use.

It probably happens a lot with these products!

Where did you find that product chart? I went to the AG Menz page and they still have the other one but they've changed it some, it looks like the Micro Polish/FP II/PO97MC is going to be dropped which is too bad because that seemed to have more of a place in the lineup than the PO85U. Too bad that even with the renaming/relabeling and streamlining they don't seem to have made things less confusing.

I just did a search of the forum and found a post where someone linked that chart.

Go by the current new numbers.
85RD is mainly used to jewel the paint to the highest shine. It has very little cut so don't expect it to remove swirls and blemishes.

85U has a little more cut, it is older technology and is sells at good price.

Unless, you're pefecting a dark colored vehicle, you'll be fine with the 85U.

"This is from like page 320 of my e-book, it's coded like you see it because all products and links in the book are like this in the rough draft form per Yancy's request but it shows new names and old part numbers in parenthesis. And "yes" the products you asked about are the same thing."
