Well I had been getting the itch for a Vette a while. I finally decided to scratch that itch and after an exhaustive country-wide search I found this one and brought it home and got to work on it. I pulled out all the stops for this detail. Here's a sneak peak at the result of 70 hours of work!

Country wide! Wow. What made that one so special vs one local? Or are they just getting hard to find now?

I got lucky and found this one in southern california, about 500 miles away. It was hard to find this color without a ton of miles and didn't look beat on.

Reading and seeing your other threads, you know your cars, especially exotics ha! So, congrats on your purchase! Any plans for any modifications under the hood?

Congrats on the new Z. I did about the same thing last September and drove 500 miles to Greenville NC to pick up an 18k miles Torch Red with Mod Red Z. When I got it home, I spent every evening for about a week doing the same thing getting it ready.

Nice choice!! :dblthumb2: :Picture:

Cannot wait to see/hear the progress ... the Vette is indeed a unique urge and a good one is worth the tracking and time.

51k miles, original paint.

I had just applied the tire dressing. Its a satin shine. The angle of the sun and that it hadn't fully soaked into the tire makes it look way glossier than it actually is. I'm not into that slathered-on used car dealership greasy tire look at all.

I'm glad to see the previous owner(s) enjoyed driving this Corvette! Hope you do, also.
