The most common question asked when someone inquires about a tire dressing is whether it provides a natural, matte finish or a high-gloss shine. Up until now, you could either have one or the other from the same product. If you have more than one car and prefer a different look for each vehicle, or if you just like to switch it up every now and then, you would have two different products on the shelf. With Blackfire’s new Total Eclipse Tire Gel, you can have the concours look that you prefer for one vehicle, and the high-gloss shine that you prefer for the other.
Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel doesn’t just enhance the appearance of your tires, it also conditions and protects them. Composed of a water-based formula free of any harsh solvents or silicones, Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel is packed full of advanced UV inhibitors and ozone blockers. Another benefit of a water-based formula is dust attraction, or lack thereof. Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel keeps tires looking new and protected while also being VOC compliant in all 50 states. Best of all, it dries to the touch and doesn’t sling!

Jeff, a co-worker and good friend of mine owns not one, but two Mustangs, one of which is a daily driver and the other a weekend toy. Jeff’s weekend toy is a bright red Mustang GT convertible that turns heads everywhere it goes. Starting from the big V8 engine that emits a deep rumble from the polished exhaust tips, to the brilliant, mirror-like finish of the 5-spoke 17” wheels, to the classic body lines that look back to the Mustangs of the 60s, Jeff’s bright red Mustang GT convertible flexes its muscles and shows off everywhere it goes. To continue to turn heads and wow bystanders, it was only appropriate to use a high-gloss tire dressing on the tires Jeff’s bright red Mustang GT convertible. Blackfire’s new Total Eclipse Tire Gel was the perfect candidate.
A tire dressing should always be applied to a clean tire that’s free of any previously applied dressings. You can use a dedicated wheel and tire cleaner or a quality all purpose cleaner to cleanse the tire of dirt, road grime and previously applied dressings. I’ve been using Blackfire’s new All-N-One All Purpose Cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/blackfire-apc-all-purpose-cleaner.html) as my exclusive tire cleaner lately because it works very well and doesn't contain any harsh chemicals that could potentially be harmful to you or the tire.

Using a Flex-Foam Tire Applicator, I applied two thin, even coats of Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel to the squeaky clean tires on Jeff’s bright red Mustang GT convertible.

Here is what the entire tire looks like after being treated with two thin coats of Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel. Remember, Jeff prefers a high-gloss finish for his bright red Mustang GT convertible, and two thin coats of Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel did the trick.

If you prefer the high-gloss finish like Jeff does for his bright red Mustang GT convertible, Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel is an excellent option to greasy, silicone-based dressings. Even though it provides a high gloss finish, it still dries to the touch and will not sling.

Remember when I told you that Jeff owns not one, but two Mustangs? His other Mustang is a bit more conservative being that it’s a V6 model without all the bells and whistles of his bright red GT convertible. While Jeff’s radiant blue Mustang still stands out, he prefers a more conservative, natural matte finish for the tires. By altering the application of Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel, it was no problem achieving the natural, matte finish that Jeff prefers for his radiant blue Mustang.

To achieve a natural, matte finish, simply apply one thin, even coat to a clean tire.

Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire Gel will easily replace the need for two separate tire dressings as it did for Jeff.
