from the thread ---> http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/34332-playing-garage.html

Finishing the rebuild on the transmission sometime this week, then pulling the motor for a different oil pump over the weekend. *trust me, it has to be pulled to get the oil pan off!*

Next steps include

a few frame welds
frame supports to stiffen things up a bit
a newly fabricated cross member for the tail housing
rear suspension changes for 0 hop
exhaust changes
recessed radiator in modified radiator core
and a few more items to me be busy for the next year...

and then it will be time for paint!

I have it narrowed down to two paints.

option 1. Lexus Matador Red 3R1

option 2. Jet Black *still searching for the best true black without flake or metallic.

I know either will "POP" with correct care and coating, but Im torn on which way to take the project. The truck will be stripped of interior, glass and drive train when taken for body work and paint. I've mostly decided I dont want to do a two tone, or intertwine the colors. Nothing has seemed to work with the body and color combo without looking bland or factory dull styling.

thoughts?

If your making a "show" truck go red you'll never see another that color.
Where if your going for the Lord Vader look you have the right idea with no flake!
