here is a "freebie" exterior detail i did one because i wanted to polish some paint and two because i wanted some before and after pics for a website i want to build.

Wheels- meguiars wheel brightener--microfiber mitt/brushes

Wheel Well Dressing: stoner trim shine aerosol
Wheel Sealant-wolfgang deep gloss sealant--finger applicator

Wax: collinite 845--red wax pad on pc7346
Wax Topper: optimum car wax--sprayer/chinchilla
Glass Sealant: wolfgang Deepgloss paint sealant--foam applicator

So this vehicle was not all that bad, the owner washes it weekly, keeps the tires clean using with a way different method then i've ever heard of (a sos pad). The paint was not really filled with swirls at all, had some but I could not capture them on camera due to the color of the paint. The paint had some moderate contaminates embedded into it(hes in town visiting and are rail roads in the area where he lives.) Did not take long to clay as the owner of the vehicle was very interested in what I was doing so I showed him and he wanted to help out(I wont turn down help claying) took all of 15 minutes to clay with 2 people. Paint was much better after the clay and owner was happy with the feel, however I said "i'm not done yet you just wait!".
Cleaned the wheels, tires and wheel wells up as much as possible, let those dry while i got to polishing, got out the PC7346 with a 5.5 white pad. Wasn't getting the amount of correction I wanted using optimum polish II so I switched the pad out and put it onto the rotary and was much better correction with a finish a little better then the DA. However the hood was fairly trashed it the front of the hood had etched in bug guts, really bad through the clear. I had to be careful around this area, even the plasti-chrome grill is pitted and just horrible from bug etchings. So I really had to bring out the big guns and got the m105 and a orange pad out. just using it on the hood and headlights. Paint was much better, some defects would need to be sanded out or touched up.I also did the headlights while I was compounding(they need a wet-sand but much better). I then switched back to my opt polish II and white pad, then polished out the rest of the vehicle. Mainly was just trying to get a lot more shine and remove some defects. This jeep is a daily driver and the color hides swirls very well. I came upon some white splatters on passenger side rear 1/4 panel that weren't removed by washing, opt-polish II did the job just great with tilting polisher on edge a tiny bit to concentrate the polishing power. This polish is great if you are wanting to one step polish but still are applying a wax. product really does work great though, like every optimum product it has worked great for me and worked better then I expected. Applied a nice coat of collinite 845 using the pc7346 and a red pad, used a sprayer for my collinite and its even easier to apply. I love how much area you can cover with just a little bit of collinite!.waxing with my DA is so great. And its so easy even a 18 month old can do it!(its true i had my friends daughter using the DA!) Then I let the wax cure while I applied some trim dressing, tire dressing and wheel well dressings. Applied some WGDGPS as wheel sealant onto the wheels. Wiped off wax and applied a nice coat of WGDGPS to the glass. Finished letting everything haze over and removed. Then did a final wipe down using some optimum car wax and a chinchilla microfiber(i love this towel, i want a blanket made of chinchilla microfiber :P!).
Detail is complete! Took all of 4 hours total, not bad at all I must say. I made the owner so happy he was just staring at it for a good 15 minutes, walking around it just commenting on how good it looked. Was a good day all in all, and even got some money for doing it( I was not charging him at all as I said) wont turn down a tip!!!

Onto the pictures! (not the best pictures of swirls again due to the color of the car)

Looks good.

How are you liking the stoner trim shine aerosol for Wheel Wells? I keep meaning to try the stuff, but still haven't..

i love the trim shine for wheel wells, easy to use and dries to a not overly shiny finish, looks really glossy and crappy at first(runs and drips) but it evens out after a few minutes and looses its gloss, lasts a good while too. thanks for the comments guys.
