Hey guys, how do you guys tell the difference between coated and uncoated leather? And what are your favorite products for each. I have never had a car with leather seats but more cars I'm detailing at starting to so I want figure what the best approach for each one is. Thanks guys!

sprinkle some water on the leather. If it beads, it's coated. If it soaks in, temporarily darkening the leather until it dries again then it's uncoated.

For uncoated, Leatherique is what you want.

For coated leather, the most common, opinions vary widely. I'm on my iPad and typing what I know (which isn't much) would take me the better part of an hour. You'll get plenty of replies, trust me!
