So I was just driving around when I passed by this chevy dealership and saw what seemed like two old school Corvettes. After going online and finding the dealership I found the two Corvettes in the used car sale section. So…I know next to NOTHING about vettes, BUT I love the way they look and they will most likely be garage queens until it warms up.

Here is the link to both of the Vettes…
New, used, and pre-owned Chevrolet, cars, trucks, and SUVs for sale at Tom Henry Chevrolet in Bakerstown (http://www.tomhenrychevy.com/VehicleSearchResults?search=preowned&zipCode=&make=Chevrolet&pageNumber=1&visitedVD=true)

Tell me what you think. Which one is a good deal or bad deal or gonna be a Lemon in the future?

Feed back please :)

I wouldn't get either of those two. Both are over priced and look worn out. What body style do you like best? If you let me know I'll try to help you find a great deal!

:iagree:

They look a bit beat...and stealerships, I mean dealerships will always be overpriced on 'classics'.

This model was very nice (IMO) and hold their value. This one is sold I'm sure, but there are others around

Thats what I was thinking when I saw them, but I wasn't too sure about the pricing of these.

Unless you're really attracted to the looks of the older styles, I'd recommend looking for one from the newer generations, '97 or later. Yes, they're more expensive, but they're just superior automobiles to the 80's and early-to-mid 90's. Horsepower took a quantum leap in with the LS series motors in '97, from 300 to 350hp and chassis / suspension technology continued to improve. I work for a Chevy dealer south of Pittsburgh who does quite a bit of used Corvette business, so I've spent a fair amount of seat time in various 'Vettes.

Just my $0.02, stay away from both of 'em. Not only are those prices on the high side, they are both Crossfire V8s, not exactly known for being a good engine.

I agree with BillyJack, unless you have some kind of specific interest in a particular body style, I'd hold out for a C5. You can find decent ones in the upper teens $$$ wise, and you'll have a much better and more reliable car to deal with.

If you are going to buy this model you should find as good an example as you can. They are really not up there in value, yet. A pristine, low mileage will be someday, just not right at this minute. May be one of the most affordable presently and a good entry level vehicle.
One good place to check prices is the Mecum website, look at past auctions, and check the prices of these models that actually sold. Temper the price with knowing there may have been a little auction fever involved, but the buyer also paid a buyers premium.
I have a little knowledge of Vettes :xyxthumbs:, so feel free to ask.
