Hello! I'm from Chicago and I own a black 2010 Mustang. I've been lurking on the forums for a while and am looking forward to asking tons of questions about detailing.

Once spring rolls around, I plan on making the jump to using a DA for my detailing needs. I'm excited about the possibilities! Having a black car means I'm always sighing after I find yet another little swirl or micro scratch.

I haven't settled on a DA, pads or chemicals yet, but I know that the fine people here on Autogeek will help me find the one that best fits my needs. I'm leaning towards the Megs DA Microfiber system, with a different finishing polish/sealant combination. There are just so many choices!

But all those choices are still in the future. Right now it's winter, and it's snowing, and detailing will have to wait. Let the research commence!

:welcome: To Autogeek Online!

Many of us live in colder regions of the country or the world for that matter and sit patiently waiting for those springtime temperatures to begin again....Although this year has been beautifully warm here in Southeast MA...

There are tons of products and equipment available through Autogeek so spend some time reading and if you need to ask a question than by all means do!

We each have our personal preferences and will give an opinion based on experience and past results.

Here's some great information that will help you if you need it.

Welcome to AGO.

I have a Porter Cable and I love it. I don't detail for a living so I feel this is the perfect machine for me. Ive heard plenty of great things about the Griots Garage Polisher and the Meg's as well.

Good luck in your decision.
