For those of you patiently awaiting the release of the entire Optimum Microfiber Polishing System. I have good news: We're almost finished!

Here's what I got today:

The Cutting Pads and Polishing Pads have been revamped for top performance:

We also gave the Cutting Pads a more aggressive microfiber than we saw with the Beta pads:

The Optimum Microfiber Polishing System Backing Plates have a milled edge with no hook and loop for easy pad removal:

I'm looking forward to putting these through the paces if the rain will let up here in TN for a bit.

Thanks for looking!

Interested in a test drive myself. Looks like the foam is as thick as what's on the Surbuf pads.

I have some Surbuf's so I checked...it's pretty close, maybe a little thicker:

I have been using the Optimum foam backing plates and love them! They cost 1/3 the price of my 3m backing plate. The hookless edge does work and allow easier removal of the pads. Only gripe, is that they easily get dirty. Guess I gotta use some OPC for that.

Can't wait for for the new mf pads to become available.

Very cool!

What's the reason behind thickening the foam?
