I am a big fan of PB NL (http://www.autogeek.net/pbnl16.html) for interior and have used it for years on all my cars and friend/ family cars I have cleaned. One of my basic products. However, on the Mazda we have, the NL does not work like I want on the dash. For some reason it streaks and leaves the dash to shiny. I have to really buff a lot to get the streaks off and dull the shine.

After reading reviews on this board I decided to buy the SONAX Dashboard Cleaner Matte Finish (http://www.autogeek.net/sonax-dashboard-cleaner.html) spray.

It’s a nice size bottle. Fits nicely in your hand, The spray is a fine mist.

I used a thick blue MF. Was not sure which MF would be best but I think this one worked well.

You can see some dust on the dash. The Dash was not overly dirty just dusty and dull looking. However, there were some paw prints from our dog on the passenger side that don’t show in the picture.

Can't see the paw prints in the photo, but they are there!

I followed the directions and sprayed the product on the MF and then wiped the dash. I was impressed at how wet the product went on but evaporated almost instantly. I can’t judge the cleaning ability as the dash was not heavily dirty/ grimy. The scent was okay, a little like laundry soap (to my nose) but like most products the scent dissipated quickly.

Very little buffing was needed to finish the job and all that was left was a clean dash with no shine! A perfect matte finish that was not dull but not glossy either.

Clean instrument panel!

Pricey in my opinion, but seems to be the right product for the job. Although as I post this I see it is on sale. Good time to buy!

I will continue to use PB NL on other cars, but this car will always have SONAX going forward! I am very happy with my purchase.

Thanks for the review! I was considering this Sonax product a month or so ago. I like that it says right on the bottle that it has no silicones or solvents. Your dash is looking sharp! I like the matte finish!
