What do you think about this car?

This is a 1948 Cadillac Convertible, this is the first year for cars with fins...

First created by Frank Hershey, the tail fins were originally disliked and scorned by GM design giant Harley Earl.
Hershey persisted and (despite Earl's dislike for the rear fender design) won executive approval.

The first fins rolled out of the Detroit plant, in the early months of 1948. Because he was the head of the GM design studio, Earl unjustly received credit for designing the "tail fin" that adorned American automobiles for the next two decades. The tail fin was used on Cadillacs up to 1964.

So what do you think? Is this a cool car or not....

Not a fan of convertibles, but I can definitely respect the style. You're giving it away as a giveaway right?! First response wins?!

Look at all the chrome and stainless steel used back then... and note the split front window...

I am a car nut through and through. I love the 30s-50s American hot rodded cars, 60s-70s muscle cars, and Euro exotics (50s to present). But if I could only have one vintage American car in my collection that Caddy would fit the bill. The stance of that beauty is what catches my eye. I like older cars that sit lower in the rear, have a stretched out front end, and are relatively low and wide for the time period. Cool car - I bet at auction it would fetch quite a high price.

The ragg top, split windshield, and the big chrome bumpers is what has this caddy looking amazing.
