With all the negative publicity regarding damaged goods while in their care, you'd think they'd take care of their customers packages just a wee bit better...

Fortunately the contents were well packaged and the item itself was pretty resilient.

Dand, those UPS guys really suck where you live, Bobby. It seems like they eff up every package they deliver to you.

Wow they really don't care.

Why would they? They are union

Seems like everybody who is a union employee the service level goes down tremendously becasue they are not in fear of losing their job anymore

Just sayin

Wow... Like you said Bobby, you'd think they'll be more careful with the recent videos popping up... I'm glad to hear the items weren't damaged.

I really hope the delivery guys would just care a little more. I hope karma gets to them.

Wow.

Well, if it makes you feel any better I received a UPS shipment from AT&T yesterday with a replacement U-Verse receiver and the box was sitting in my breezeway half opened. When I hooked the receiver to the TV, it was bricked.

Damn that sucks.

My UPS guys are pretty good with handling. Lately i've been gettin them in the morning too, most of the times I get my packages late in the night time.

It doesn't matter where you live, here it's pretty much the same way. I've had more claims and damaged packages with UPS than Fedex, Airborne(RIP), USPS and DHL combined.

Hey BobbyG....Sorry for your misfortune with UPS again!!

One solution comes to mind, though:
Since I've never, ever had any bad luck with UPS, FedX, USPS....
Have all of your packages shipped to me for "forwarding purposes"... And I'll guarantee you'll never see any more damaged goods/packages. :D

Also:
Seeing the Shape of this particular box reminds me of this song:

I live in the District and I've only had one damaged package in about 13 years. I order online quite a bit.

There must have been a bad FedEx driver in the past because for a couple of years I'd wind up with delivery exceptions and door tags all the time despite the fact that I was at home. It's completely different now and the new driver actually walks the package up to my condo door if I don't meet him down in the lobby first. I usually say "I'll buzz you in and meet you out front" so I can save him a couple of minutes...
