I have done a search and came up short. I have been using my 3403 for two days straight and needless to say am impressed. I have tried it with both bail and then the handle and can't decide which I like more. When doing vertical panels (boat) I'm inclined toward the handle.
Question: Are there specif situations you find the polisher works better with bail or handle?
thanks!

Here's what I did, I can have both the bail handle and stick handle at the same time on my 3401 or my L3403.
sanded down the sides of the plastic so it's skinnier-

Now it will fit into the hole meant for the Allen head screw that holds on the bail handle-

Fit's nice and tight. Done in 5 min-

I find that I can control my 3401 better with the bail.

done.... that took all of 3 min - so now I can try both....I certainly find I can apply more pressure with the bail - necessary for gel coat vs paint...

Depending on the machine I use them all...
None - Flex 3401 & Porter Cable 7424
Bail - Makita 9227
Side Handle - Flex PE14

Generally speaking I want my dual action polishers flat on the surface hence hand pressure axial to the pad.
My rotaries I like the ability to tilt the pad to suit the situation. I find this more comfortable and efficient using a handle.

Nice assortment of polishers (and all so clean)!
Doesn't the Flex 3401 have the Bail on in the picture?
