It says a shelf life of 1 year. How about a unopened bottle? The same?

Basically it doesnt have any shelf life time.
keep it away from irons and it will last as long as you need it.
in the right storing conditions ofcourse.

What are the preferred storing conditions? I don't see any info on that on your website.

I think that if you keep them away from light, heat, or freezing temperatures it will last longer than I will.
So Dark, 55 to 76 degrees (F) and sealed.

Sounds just like my basement. :xyxthumbs:

By sealed do you mean lid fully closed?

I am planning on getting the 5L bottle and pouring a little into a small 16oz. or 8oz. sprayer bottle.

Just what I do. That 5L Jug is a really great deal.

But I like to use these:
Wolfgang Chemical Resistant Pressure Sprayer, pressurized spray bottle, pump sprayer (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-pressure-sprayer.html)
to spray it out of.
And because I can constantly keep moving while spraying I actually seem to use less product.
