Well further proof that you have to bring the right tool to the right fight.

Here is my gunnel after using a DA with compound- clean and some gloss, but still fairly matte. A random orbital like a Griots or a porter cable won't get it done...

and here is the same gunnel after using aqua buff 2k and my new Flex rotary - no wax, just washed with water

I'll finish with my DA and some UC, then UPGP...The flex is a killer machine with a 3 inch pad! Thanks Mike for the 3403 video showing the small plate and pad - the Flex came from AG this morning!

I Agree.....

With all the great compounds, polishes, sealers and waxes on the market these days
along with a great assortment of quality pads and accessories for the rotaries,
my sons hardly ever use the DA. (on gelcoat).

Took me a few years of being stubborn to realize they simply don't work on gel coat......

What would be everyone's thoughts on using a Flex 3401 with a purple foamed wool? Still not powerful enough on gel?

if any orbital can do it, this is the one with it's direct circ action but it will still take longer than 2000 rpm on a flex rotary with the same pad...The new MF cutting pads would help too..

Thanks Glen. I have a boat coming up and may have to dust off the ole Dewalt rotary.
