2006 Honda Civic Coupe Revival!

This Honda Civic has seen better days... The paint hasn't been taken care of properly and this Taffeta white from Honda is the worst if you don't take care of it. I know because I have a 02 Accord (Taffeta White). Well this thing had water stains and scratches and bruises all over... It was chalky as well which happens with this single stage paint. Honda did not do well with this in my opinion. But onto the car.
The car had absolutely no shine, you would think it was a flat white paint job. But with the help of Megs ultimate compound and a little elbow grease, I was able to bring it back to life! I will just get to the pictures, because that's what everyone wants...

I love reading threads like this. They usually go through, at a minimum, these phases:
1: Oh, that doesn't look too bad.
2: Holy hell, look at that paint up close!
3: Did someone vomit inside?
4: Holy hell, look at that paint up close now!
5: Hey, where did the vomit go?

I can only imagine how the owner reacted!!

The owner was thrilled. I do this on the side. So this is someone from my work. I picked it up in the morning and brought it back to her right before she left for the day. It's her husbands car, so when she took it home he texted me and told me he was so amazed that it came back so nicely and that he was floored at the results. Said it looked better than when he brought it home.

For the process, I soaked the whole car in a dawn foam bath and washed with meguiars gold class wash. Then went over the whole thing with the clay which did absolutely nothing. Only pulled off contaminants on the rear end of the car... I had the license plate off to fully clean the rear. Then I went over the whole car with Meguiars Ultimate Compound with an Orange LC pad. I went through 3 pads on the car. :| UC finishes off so well for me. I have had such great luck with it. Then to top it off I went with Collinite 845 (which I'm running low on...). And the interior got a good scrub down and a going over with 303 Aerospace Protectant. .

For the bumper marks I buffed out all of the scuff marks with the UC. Luckily since this is the same color as my car, Taffeta White, I had the factory touch up paint that I keep laying around. So I filled in the marks that were through the paint.
