Hello,

I bought some Carpro PERL and want to begin using it on my exterior trim. I have several layers of old dressing on my trim right now. How do I safely remove these? I know Griots has some products but they seem pretty expensive.

All Purpose Cleaner. Would Mr. Clean work?

Probably not, but then again I've never tried it. If you're wanting to get something local, a lot of people have had good luck with Zep APC from Home Depot.

Simple green should work fine. The Meguiar's or Meguiar's Plus (Less foaming and smells like Orange) from here is a pretty popular APC if you want to order something. Any brand APC is fine, I find most work about the same, I tend to go with what smells best :-)

My buddy Jim says brown royal is where it's at.

I use apc, ARO, etc. Haven't tried the brown royal yet.

just get a gallon of meguiars apc+ you will use it more then you think as it works on everything 20$ for the gallon and lasts a good long while. or you can google search and find the meguiars APC+ in 32oz sample bottles for about 7$ just get an extra spray bottle.and i wouldnt use simple green, a few people have had issues with it and automotive applications.

Megs APC+ is a great product, and usually can be picked up for around $14 for a gallon...
